Maggie Ploener LMT Bio:

Maggie is known for her deep slow strokes and her masterful neck work. She uses a combination of therapies in order to achieve the maximum curative benefit.

The success she accomplishes with muscle pain and neck issues is due to the topical application of castor oil, hot rocks, and Craniosacral Therapy.

By using hot rocks as a massage tool she is able to heat the muscle while getting in deep.

Castor oil used by Edgar Cacyee, when applied topically is a muscle relaxant and releases muscle fatigue.

She ends most sessions with Craniosacral therapy. This light therapeutic modality allows the client to leave the session with an over all feeling of well being and balance.

In 1997 Maggie graduated from the Swedish institute of Massage Therapy. There she learned to adjust her sessions to meet the specific therapeutic needs of her clients.

Trained in therapeutic massage, she continued her studies at the Ohashi Institute in NYC and at the Upledger Institute in North Palm Beach Florida.

She has had advanced training to relieve the discomforts of pregnancy, and has a lot of experience with Repetitive Injury Syndrome. She is well versed in Pediatric Craniosacral Therapy. In 2001 Maggie did an internship at the Upledger Institute. There she worked with Autistic children.

Maggie has two undergraduate degrees, a BA of Fine Arts in Painting and a BS in Health Science.
